Giant / Liv Warranty

At Giant and Liv, we offer a warranty against defects in material or workmanship on all of our bikes. This warranty is valid for the original purchaser only, and is valid on the frame, the rigid fork, as well as all the original components, for the durations below:

Lifetime warranty :

• Frames, except for downhill models.

Ten (10) year warranty:

• Rigid forks.

Three (3) year warranty :

• Frames for downhill models.

Two-year warranty:

• Giant brand wheels
• Components specific to electric bikes (motor, battery, etc.)
• Branded telescopic rods

Guarantee of one (1) in:

• Painting and decals
• All other original parts and components, including suspension system parts and swingarms, but excluding all non-Giant parts, including suspension forks and shock absorbers which must be covered by the warranty of their respective manufacturer.

ASSEMBLY AND MAINTENANCE

This warranty applies only to bicycles and frames purchased new and assembled by one of our authorized Giant retailers.

APPEAL

Except as otherwise provided, the sole remedy under this warranty is limited to replacement of defective parts with parts of equal or greater value, at Giant's sole discretion. For example, a replacement frame offered under warranty may be a different color from the original. Our commitment is to provide a technologically comparable or superior replacement part, but not necessarily aesthetically identical.

The warranty takes effect from the date of purchase, is valid only for the first owner and is not transferable. Giant disclaims all liability and shall in no event be liable for direct, incidental or consequential damages including, without limitation, damages related to personal injury, property damage or even economic loss.

EXCLUSIONS

The warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear on parts like tires, chains, brakes, cables, cassettes and bearings
• Bikes not serviced by an authorized Giant retailer
• Installation of non-original parts
• Use of the bicycle for inappropriate purposes
• Damage related to failure to follow the instructions in the owner's manual
• Damage to paint finishes as a result of decals breaking while participating in competitions, jumping or downhill activities, or damage resulting from exposure to or riding the bicycle in harsh conditions or extreme climates

Unless otherwise stated, Giant and its employees assume no liability for any damage or loss (including damage or loss due to negligence or defect) associated with a Giant bicycle.

Giant disclaims all other warranties, express or implied. All implied warranties, including those of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the express warranties listed above.

All warranty claims must be made through an authorized Giant dealer. Proof of purchase is necessary before we can process any complaints.

The duration and conditions of the warranty may vary depending on the setting or the country. This warranty gives you specific rights, and you may also have other rights depending on your country. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
